9 Years of Treebird
Nine is a weird one. Of course, there’s the fact that it’s not 10, but so close. And it’s not lucky number 7. Or 8, the luckiest number in China. It’s not prime like 11. It’s just 9.
Which is probably—no, definitely—why we’re writing about our 9th anniversary in July when it in fact occurred in April.
But that’s ok. Because celebrating 9 years in business is still a big deal. Also, with a little internet sleuthing, you can find pretty anything you need.
In numerology, the number nine represents completion, as it's the last of the single-digit numbers (which are known as cardinal numbers in numerology) and the highest in value. That said, it symbolically represents a culmination of wisdom and experience, and buzzes with the energy of both endings and new beginning.
A culmination of wisdom and experience. The energy of endings and a new beginning. We can definitely make that work.
At Treebird, we’ve become wise enough to know that expert staffing leads to client success. Nine years ago, we were a mom and sometimes pop shop, and now we are a full team of professionals spanning the full spectrum of roles. So in addition to our roster of stalwarts, we’ve added crucial new teammates in roles from design to social media to project management. We’re all better off for it.
Experience has taught us that even in a global pandemic, people need great branding. While budgets have understandably tightened, projecting your voice and vision in a constrained market counts for more than ever. We’re quite proud of the fact that we’ve been able to expand during the pandemic, and in doing so help more and more clients do the same.
As for endings. Well, we’ve learned to stop operating full-time as a start-up and transition more and more into stability. It’s been happening for years, but even though we’re still quite fast, we also know we need to take time to breathe, reflect, and assess before proffering brilliance. We haven’t yet learned to be humble. Maybe that’s year 10.
And a new beginning? Every day. We’re no experts in String Theory, but we know at a basic level that we’re all vibrations, and the spaces between our tiniest of molecules is nearly infinite. So we’re doing our best to operate in those spaces each day, vibrating to the beat of our clients, treating everyone well, bridging the distance one idea at a time.
It’s not perfect, but it’s 9. And we’re happy to be almost there. We’ll say the same thing next year when we get to 10. And isn’t that the point?
